Considerations and Production Context

My comic is aimed at teenagers ages 12-18. My comic strip isn't telling the full story as I planned but instead telling part of a story. I changed my ideas slightly, at first I had planned to make my comic more of a romance and slice of life. However I changed this concept to a drama and slice of life because it feel it would be more relatable and more interesting.
Before drawing out he actual comic I did lots of practice sketches of my storyline and character design. I got inspiration form manga's such as 19 Days, this is because of the relationship between the two friends in the manga. I wanted to something similar but different at the same time. instead I would have my characters be friends in the past but not anymore.

The format of my graphic narrative is comic strip. originally I was going to make it a full length comic book, but I realised it wasn't realistic so I decided to make it into a strip. The reason why I choose a comic strip is because I am very familiar with the layout of comics and I feel I can do so much more with making a comic strip. I don't think this comic is best to go in a newspaper, but more so in a magazine.
