Contemporary genre and forms of animation

Television animation

Television animation has become extremely  popular over the years. I believe that television animation has become so popular because anything is possible with it. Television animation has proved over the past 15 years that its not just for kids. Shows like Family Guy, The Archer and Southpark are all examples of shows that have demonstrated that animation isn't just for kids.
Over time animation has become more advanced and increasingly supported and accepted. Animation is used in every day life and can be seen anywhere.

Television animation and animation in general comes in many different style. Such as Traditional animation (2D, Hand drawn), 2D animation (Vector based), 3D animation ( CGI, Computer animation), Stop motion (Claymation, Cutouts), and Motion graphics (Typography, etc).

Some examples of television animation which I personally like are, X-men (1992-1997), Daria (1997-2002), Recess (1997-2001), Lilo and Stitch (2003-2006) and Rugrats(1991-2004).

New ideas

For my animation my original idea was to do a scene where there were two characters, one teacher and one student. I realised it would be hard to my idea because most of the animation involved my characters sitting down. Also there wasn't much happening but speaking in the animation. To make my idea better I plan to edit my story board to there is more movement with the characters. Instead of the student character sitting down I will have the character leave the class in the paper animation and go into the real world. This way I would be mixing the pretend paper character into the real world, this way it will be easier to animate and there will be more movement.

I only plan to make a few changes to my animation idea. I will make a new story board to show what changes I have made

Sound and Lighting

Sound:

During my animation I plan to have backing music as well as sound effects to go with the short animation.
The kind of sound effects I'll use will probably be used at the beginning in the introduction and when my character is drawing. In my animation I don't want to have too many sound effects because I am also having a voice over.

I will put in the music while editing the final piece, the sound effects will be done in the same way.

Lighting:

I don't plan to use any special lights. The lighting used in my short animation will be provided by the light in the room. I don't think I will use lamps, however it depends on the day how bright  the lights actually are otherwise I might have to use lamps. I don't intend to use coloured lamps when making my animation.
A few ideas for my animation:
- Talk about College struggles
- Things that interest me
- Have the character make their way to school or anywhere
- have character talk to camera about something

Things I plan to use:
I have decided to use have my character talk to the camera about college struggles. Also i would want someone to do a voice over for the

Audio:
I will record my own audio. Someone will be narrating, talking while the character is talking
